Season 2008
Welcome to the 2008 season. The coming year is looking promising with a new sponsor, some new look features at the club rooms (TV/carpet), release of our strategic plan, new coaches and a new look fixture with all Cougar teams allocated to either Division 1,2 or 3.
Unfortunately however the AJFC has had some setbacks with attracting coaches and player numbers :
Under 14s
Due to lack of player numbers we have to go into season 2008 without an u4s team . This is very disappointing to for players and families in this age group and the club .
Under 9s
Again , a lack of player numbers will hamper putting a team on the field in round 1 however our new relationship with Northcote Auskick will enable us to field a team from round 2-3.
Under 13s
The under13s are eagerly seeking additional players for their promising team .Please urge your friends and family to come down and play .
Cougars land a new Sponsor
The mighty Cougars are proud to announce a new 3 year sponsorship deal with Nelson Alexander. Nelson Alexander is a well known, respected and sought after local real estate business. For next 3 years, all AJFC players will proudly wear the Nelson Alexander logo on the back of our jumpers alongside the mighty Cougar. Due to a back log at the supplier our new jumpers won’t be ready until May 2008.
Northcote AusKick
As of 12th April, Northcote AusKick will call McDonell Park home using the facility each Saturday to host their clinics from 9am – 10.30am. This move is a fantastic opportunity for the long term viability of the AJFC to enable an easy transition from AusKick to Junior Football at the AJFC for those players who wish to continue their junior development with the Cougars.
Strategic Plan
The AJFC Strategic Plan enables us to look ahead and build a sustainable future. Look out for our 2008 Operational Plan.
