Welcome to Round 3.  The mighty Cougars enter into the round with 3 teams undefeated: Under 10s, 12s and 15s with our 13s, 11s and 17s displaying some moments of brilliance to date.

Our Ground        

For those of you who have played, trained or walked upon our main ground will know how hard and dry it is as a consequence of the drought.  This has prompted a fixture change for our 15s and 17s whom will now be away this weekend.  We will get these home games back later in the season when the ground improves.

Our uniforms

Our new shorts and socks, with the NFL and Cougar logos look fantastic.  We are still to receive our new jumpers that will display our new sponsor Nelson Alexander on the back of the jumpers.  The reason for the delay is the requirement for all NFL clubs to source jumpers from the 1 supplier, the same supplier that has had to provide all NFL junior and senior clubs with shorts and socks.   Hopefully we will be in our new jumpers very soon.

Committee Positions

The mighty Cougars will soon have 2 vacancies on our Committee: Secretary and Property Manager.  Both positions are extremely important to the successful operation of the club.  Please show you support and enquire about the opportunity.  Contact Simon Bailey on 0423 575157.

Northcote AusKick

A reminder that Northcote AusKick now call McDonell Park home using the facility/ground each Saturday to host  clinics from 9am – 10.30am.

Club Quality

Did you know that the AJFC is the ONLY club in the NFL to have attained Bronze level accreditation with the AFL Victoria Club Quality program ? We are extremely proud of this achievement and intend to reach Silver status by the end of the year.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteer support is still required for season 2008 .

Canteen 

This is an extremely important service that we provide to our players, members, families and opposing teams.  Please volunteer a regular 1-2 hours on a Sunday to support this important function.  Please contact Annie Pentelow to volunteer your time.

Raffle Tickets

You may have noticed and bought raffle tickets in the last two weeks for the Northcote Park Football Club.The exciting part of these(more coming) is that the AJFC receives half of the proceeds from the tickets we sell. A number of raffles will be forthcoming,so please offer to sell a book or three, buy some tickets and hopefully win a great prize whilst supporting the mighty Cougars .
